Julia Camargo

Migrant connectivity, citizenship, and communication

Julia is a Lecturer in International Relations at the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) and a PhD candidate in Communication and Consumer Practices at ESPM, where she holds a Capes Prosup fellowship. A member of the Deslocar research group, her work explores interculturality, citizenship, communication, and consumption. Previously, she was a fellow at the UNITWIN Cooperation Network for Integration in Latin America (Unesco Chair, 2022). Her thesis examines the communication, consumption, and digital technology use of Venezuelan refugees in Brazil and Spain. At UFRR, she coordinates community projects on migrant and refugee connectivity.
